Tisa Smart-Washington was elected Rockdale County Tax Commissioner in 2016 after being appointed Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner in Rockdale in 2013. Prior to joining the Tax Commissioner’s Office, Tisa served as Communication Writer in the Office of the CEO of DeKalb County and Editor of the Rockdale News.
The Tax Commissioner's Office provides guidance on ad valorem taxes for property and motor vehicle tag and title information. The Tax Commissioner is elected to serve a four-year term.
